Job Description:
Thumbs Up (Bury) ltd, manufacturers and distributes synthetic resins, plastic materials and elastomers. Working across the whole of the UK providing for the likes of ASDA, BnM and Argos.The company employs over 120 staff, working 24 hours per day to continue production of materials such as plastic containers, plastic plant pots and storage containers. You will be joining an expanding team and growing business who use the top of the range robotic machinery and equipment, who are looking for an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer. Duties will include: Maintenance of all equipment including mechanical and electrical equipment and all aspects. Assembling and testing fluid power systems. Maintaining mechanical devises and equipment. Wiring and testing electrical equipment. Lubrication of machine parts. Fault diagnosis. Robotic operations. Ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner to ensure production. General maintenance and refurbishments of machinery. You will attend Alliance Learning Monday to Thursday for the first year of programme where you will gain the vital hands on skills, knowledge and behaviours of working as an Engineer. |
