We are now looking for 3 Craft apprentices where will be offered within the Manufacturing Workshops of Booth Industries Limited based in Bolton. The company specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of high integrity steel doors ranging from personnel access sized doors up to aircraft hangar sized doors, all of which are manufactured in-house by Booth’s experienced fabrication and welding operatives.
The successful candidate will work alongside the manufacturing operatives and will be trained to undertake the various duties associated with the manufacture of structural steelwork and sheet metal assemblies.

Duties will include:

- Welding
- Marking out of components
- Reading of drawings
- Use of hand fitting tools and techniques
- Identify different items for manufacturing
- Follow all aspects of Health and Safety

The Company undertakes works of a sensitive nature for various Government institutions, including the supply of security products to various industries, for which Security Clearances are required and therefore it will be important that the successful candidate will have held a British Passport for a minimum of 7 years and not hold a criminal record that may compromise this as training could involve working on such projects.

You will attend Alliance Learning three days per week for the first 9 months before going to day release to gain the vital skills, knowledge, and behaviours of working within Fabrication and Welding.
