Back in February 2025, we hosted our Apprenticeship Open Evening at Alliance Learning, and it was a fantastic success! The event provided valuable insights and opportunities for those interested in exploring apprenticeships, offering a chance to meet with our team, local employers, and experienced apprentices.

The evening kicked off with a warm welcome from our staff, followed by a presentation on the benefits of apprenticeships and how they serve as a launchpad for future careers. We highlighted the variety of apprenticeships we offer, including engineering and business.

Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with current apprentices who shared their personal journeys, offering real-world perspectives on the apprenticeship experience. These success stories highlighted how apprenticeships provide hands-on experience, industry-specific skills, and the chance to earn while learning.

A major highlight of the evening was the chance to meet with local employers looking to recruit apprentices. Our partnership with these businesses helps ensure that the training and career progression available to apprentices is both meaningful and impactful. We had representatives from a variety of industries, allowing attendees to ask questions about the roles, what employers look for in candidates, and how apprentices can succeed in the workplace.

Many attendees were excited to learn about the application process and the support available throughout their apprenticeship journey. Our dedicated team at Alliance Learning was on hand to answer questions, guide individuals on how to apply, and provide advice on interview techniques and CV building. For some, it was the first step toward securing their future in the workforce.

We were thrilled with the turnout and the positive feedback from both the attendees and our participating employers. The Apprenticeship Open Evening proved once again how apprenticeships offer fantastic opportunities for individuals to kickstart their careers, gain invaluable skills, and work alongside some of the region's best employers.
