Course Overview (Benefits) This course aims to provide basic working knowledge and practical experience in TIG / TAG welding for ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Course Requirements It is a requirement that all candidates provide PPE - Fire Retardant Overalls & Steel toe Safety Boots , welding screens and gloves
Awarding Body: Alliance Learning Certificate
Course Content/Topics Covered Practice in safely using TAG welding equipment to include: - Setting of electrical conditions - Assembling and setting equipment - Tack Welding Preparation and practice in the following welding techniques: - Setting up and depositing of single butt weld - Set up and welding of tee joints in; Downhand; Vertical; Horizontal Course review and evaluation

Target Group This course is designed for delegates with no prior knowledge or experience.
Assessment and Certification Throughout the course, you will build a portfolio of your work and this will be assessed upon completion of the course. Once this has been assessed and you have successfully passed, you will be awarded with an Alliance Learning certificate of competence.
