About the Employer: APMG is a leading UK specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of furniture for commercial laboratories, universities, school labs and classrooms. It also has a plastics department fabricating fume scrubbers, fans and fume extract systems. The majority of its processes are done in-house, and it has a powder coating room and a steel shop on-site, in addition to the furniture factory and plastic fabrications.
APMG’s base is in Little Hulton, Salford. It sells and installs across the UK, and exports to Hong Kong and other overseas markets. It has been in business for 80 years.

We are looking for a shop floor apprentice to learn all the skills we use. This trainee will be taught to use our machines and fabricate plastics, safely and to a high standard. This is a great opportunity to acquire transferable skills, learn a variety of manufacturing processes and train on diverse machinery. We are a busy company and there are opportunities to progress within the organisation.
The apprentice will rotate around different areas of the shop floor. They will learn to operate machinery and assemble furniture as described below. They will also learn plastic fabrication and the assembly of plastic commercial fans.
