Job Description:
We are now looking to recruit an Apprentice Welder to join our growing Bolton-based company. Edbro is a world leader in the manufacturing of hydraulic components for commercial vehicles. We have been leading the market with product developments ever since 1916 when the company’s founder Maurice Edwards developed the first ever hoist to be powered by a truck engine. Based on a long-standing tradition of cutting-edge innovation and with over 100 years of industry expertise, our products remain at the forefront of the tipping market, increasing payloads, reducing tipping times and providing “fit and forget” solutions. Located in the UK in the north-west town of Bolton since its very beginnings, we consider our local roots very important. As an Apprentice Engineer you will be reporting into the Production Supervisor, you will assist in providing an effective, proactive production service. Through your apprenticeship you will gain the skills and knowledge to weld and fabricate production components efficiently and safely, utilising MIG, TIG and sub arc welding to become a fully skilled Welder. Undertake a development programme through an apprenticeship. Actively participate in your own development agreed with your line manager and assessor from the training provider. You will also be provided with a mentor and rotated through operations to get a full understanding of the business |
