Job Description:

Specialist Switchgear is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrical Manufacturer to join their experienced engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical industry experience while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Specialist Switchgear designs and manufactures high-quality electrical switchgear and control panel systems for a wide range of industries. The company prides itself on delivering precision-engineered solutions and maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.

As an apprentice, you will work alongside fully trained Engineers who will mentor and support you throughout your training, helping you develop both technical knowledge and practical skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will learn how to:
• Mechanically assemble electrical boards and control panels in preparation for wiring
• Read and interpret schematic drawings and wiring schedules
• Wire control panels and electrical components
• Fit and wire base plates
• Crimp, terminate, and loom wires and cables accurately
• Complete work to a high standard of quality and safety
• Work independently as your confidence grows, as well as part of a wider engineering team
• Use a range of engineering tools and equipment safely and effectively

Training and Support

You will receive full on-the-job training from experienced Engineers and gain valuable knowledge within the electrical manufacturing industry. This role offers the opportunity to develop practical engineering skills in a supportive and professional environment.
