Job Description:

Apprentice plater/welder will work under the supervision of skilled operatives until deemed skilled enough to work under own initiative. You will predominantly be fabricating large structures for the rail and civils industry.

During your apprenticeship you will learn the following-
• How to read and interpret and fabricate from drawings.
• Learn how to use measuring and surveying equipment.
• Learn to use various hand tools such as grinders and Mag drills
• Become a coded welder in both the MIG and MMA processes.
• Learn to use oxy fuel cutting equipment.
• How to use various machines such as guillotines and band saws.

Successful Candidate will need to be able to travel to Alliance Learning for day release and Taziker site in Blackburn.

PLEASE NOTE: The Engineering intake will start in September with interviews planned in after May 2024.
