City of Trees Comes to Alliance Learning: Planting Over 150 Trees
Alliance Learning welcomed City of Trees onto our site to plant over 150 trees on Monday 7th October 2024! This exciting initiative will not only enhance the beauty of our campus but also contribute to the vital work of creating a greener, healthier future for Greater Manchester.
City of Trees, an incredible organisation rooted in the heart of our region, is on a mission to plant trees for people—to create better, greener spaces, improve health and well-being, and address the pressing challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss. By planting trees, City of Trees is taking action to make our communities more resilient, sustainable, and vibrant.
Alliance Learning, are passionate about contributing to this cause. The new trees planted on our site will help to improve air quality, provide new habitats for local wildlife, and create a more pleasant and relaxing environment for our learners and staff.
However the benefits go beyond the environment. Through this project, we are also promoting green skills and sustainability awareness, which is at the heart of what we teach and practice. By partnering with City of Trees, we are not only enhancing our surroundings but also empowering the next generation to take responsibility for the planet.
City of Trees has been making an impact across Greater Manchester, planting trees in parks, schools, and urban areas to ensure that our region remains a thriving, healthy place to live and work. We are proud to be a part of their effort and to play our part in making Greater Manchester greener, one tree at a time.
Stay tuned for updates as we begin planting the trees on-site and watch our green spaces flourish! Let’s work together to make a lasting, positive impact on our environment and community.
