This one day course takes place prior to the RTITB Instructor course and enables companies to have their own Forklift Truck Instructor, who is able to train and examine operators on company premises. The course complies with the approved code of practice issued by the Health & Safety Commission. The aim of this course:

- Reduced training costs
- Increase flexibility for training needs
- Expert advice and tuition will always be at hand
Course Requirements
This course ensures that delegates are assessed and tested to an Advanced Operational standard in order to progress onto the Instructor programme.

- Candidates must have passed an accredited (by an ABA member) operator course within 3 years of the Instructor course start date.
- Candidates must have successfully completed and passed the eTruck eLearning course within 3 years of the instructor course start date

Course Content/Topics Covered
The Advanced Operational Competence Test ensures that delegates with proven ability on specific types of machine are assessed and trained in the methods and techniques required for the qualified instruction of lift truck operators, and can proceed onto the Instructor programme.
Course Duration (days): 1.0
Target Group
Candidates must have passed an accredited by an ABA member) operator course within 3 years and completed the eTruck course. Upon completion, the candidate will progress onto the Instructor course.
Assessment and Certification
The Advanced Operational Competence Test will consist of:

- Practical skills test - maximum 25 penalties
- Pre-use test

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be awarded with an Advanced Operational Competence Test certificate which is required to progress onto the Instructor course.
