Alliance Learning Welcomes 2024 Engineering Apprenticeship Intake

Alliance Learning is thrilled to announce the new intake for the 2024 Engineering Apprenticeship program! This year's cohort will be joining a long tradition of excellence in training, which began 58 years ago when the organisation was first established as the Bolton and District Engineering Training Group in 1966.

Since its founding, Alliance Learning has expanded significantly, evolving into one of the region’s top providers of engineering training. A significant milestone in this journey was the partnership secured with the University of Bolton, which now enables Alliance Learning to offer a progression to higher degree Engineering Apprenticeships. These Apprenticeships provide young people with the chance to gain advanced qualifications while earning a salary and acquiring hands-on experience in the engineering industry.

For the next four years, all apprentices will work towards completing their Engineering Apprenticeships, which typically span 48 months. Throughout this time, they will engage in a wide variety of practical tasks, gaining essential skills that prepare them for real-world engineering roles and future educational opportunities. The programme equips them with globally recognised qualifications, helping them stand out in the competitive job market.

This year’s apprenticeship programme has secured the involvement of several prominent companies, including:

Krones UK

Pure Fabs

Airmatic

Carrs Pasties

Bolton Gate

Silcoms

Fresenius Kabi

Just to name a few!

These companies are offering invaluable opportunities for apprentices to learn directly from industry experts, work on innovative projects, and contribute to the future of engineering.

Apprentices will benefit from a programme that combines classroom-based learning with hands-on experience, helping them acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. With support from Alliance Learning and its industry partners, these apprentices are on the path to becoming the next generation of engineering professionals.

Alliance Learning remains committed to providing high-quality training and helping young people build successful careers in engineering. With strong partnerships and an impressive track record of success, this year’s apprentices are in excellent hands as they embark on their professional journeys.
