Job Description:
As part of your role, you will work with groups of engineering apprentices and deliver practical training within our dedicated workshops on fabrication and welding processes. In addition to the practical delivery, you will be responsible for delivery of the underpinning theory in a classroom setting. This will be on subjects such as Health & Safety, Materials, Fabrication Principles, Welding Principles, to further develop the apprentices understanding and ability.
You will be delivering underpinning knowledge and coaching, producing learning plans and schemes of work where relevant. We will provide a robust induction plan to support your development within the role.
You will have full responsibility for allocated learners to ensure retention, progression and achievement.
Essential Skills:
We are recruiting an “Fabrication and Welding Tutor” who holds an appropriate level 3 NVQ qualification and able to demonstrate experience of working in industry within their career. You will need to be passionate about engineering and keen to pass on your knowledge and skills to the next generation of Fabrication and Welding Engineers. Don’t hold a teaching qualification? Don’t worry! Full training will be provided as part of your professional development.
